These photos are from a backyard wedding in Portland in the summer of 2024, photographed on two Leica point and shoot cameras provided by the clients, who are now friends. 40 rolls of Portra were exposed, which were developed at Citizens photo and scanned and edited by me over MANY days. The summer heat over two days of shooting made this a beautiful and memorable experience, which also had layers of serendipity that I won’t even begin to detail here.
A good moment to remember with Sammy and Dune, we had gone to an orchard on Sauvie to visit Amy and Daniel and see some of their cider making process. We ate at Fort George, sat on the second floor and there were over 5 cargo boats in the river. After, we wanted to see sunset on the beach, though it was impossibly foggy when we arrived. Right before we left the sun came out and the colors were subtle but amazing. What a day!
My buddy Amber was leaving Portland so we got together to shoot some photos at Council Crest park. With a sharp crescent moon overhead and more than one group of teens lounging on park benches and clutching joints, we used some flashes and the light of two cell phones to get these wonderful pictures. Gonna miss you Amber!
